These beautiful first time parents were absolutely stunning, and we loved watching them grow!
The maternity shoot was all about timing! It was a horrid overcast day, but we think those days make for the most unique photos. We only had about 10 minutes to capture the perfect shots, as it started to bucket down cats and dogs. For those 10 rain-less minutes though, the sun shone through the clouds and cast a glow around Heidi and she looked positively angelic; a halo sitting on top of her head. We love how mother nature has a funny way of creating the perfect moments to capture - after all that is what being a photographer is all about, adapting come rain, hail or shine and delivering outstanding images.
Little Carter was introduced to the world, and we were smitten! Heidi and Joe had this beautiful blanket that was very sentimental for them. It came from their Grandmother, and was passed down from Heidi and Joe to little Carter. We love details like this; the special touches and the personal stories we hear. Shoots don’t always go to plan, and towards the end of our session, Carter was getting tired. These hiccups make for the most unexpected photos though; one of our favourite images is where Heidi and Joe are trying to soothe Carter. It is emotional and raw, and you can feel the love they have in this photo.
